Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye, Member of Parliament for Odododiodoo constituency has indicated that though he is older than Koku Anyidoho, the founder and director of the Atta Mills Institute; bitterness is making him, Koku Anyidoho look older than he, Nii Lante Vanderpuye.

Speaking on the Accra-based radio station, Radio XYZ; he indicated that the former Communication Director at the presidency’s behaviour in recent times is simply as a result of bitterness. “Koku Anyidoho is full of bitterness. I’m older than he is but he looks older than me,” he said.

He went ahead to establish the reason for this bitterness. He identified his defeat to Asiedu Nketiah, the General Secretary of the NDC Party as the reason for this bitterness he has been unable to get over. He thinks that Koku Anyidoho’s only means of staying relevant after his loss was to go on this tangent.

Nii Lante Vanderpuye indicated, “When he was going to contest against Asiedu Nketia, I told him rather to keep his Deputy General Secretary position because he cannot beat Asiedu Nketia. He is doing all these because he wants to be relevant in society.”

Among other submissions, he alleged that Koku Anyidoho is being sponsored by the state, the reason he is able to do the things he is doing. He made this allegation against the backdrop that Koku Anyidohu is being driven around by personnel from the National Security. “If it’s not the state sponsoring him, how will he get the National Security personnel to drive him around?” He sought to find out.

He also mentioned how hurt the former president, John Dramani Mahama, and his wife, Lordina are by Koku’s conduct yet are willing to forgive him regardless.
